Big Day in the Big Easy
One of the things I've been doing instead of blogging has been writing speeches. For about 3 months, I've been going to Toastmaster early on thursday mornings. A group of about 20 meet at 7 AM to spend 90 minutes together, working on public speaking. I've found it a really good experience, and I've noticed a change in the way I present myself. Even though I've only given two prepared speeches, I've found focusing on polishing a presentation has produced pleasing results at school, and work. I have another big day coming up. Reverend Karl will be doing the Shoenwald - Afeman wedding in a few weeks. I took advantage of my second toastmasters speech to record the who event. You can listen through this page, or click to download . It kills me that I'm introduced as Reverend Karl Richter before I give the speech. Funnier still, the groom's given me the thumbs up to wear a wire at the wedding and capture the second time I give the speech. We'll see if the bride lets that happen.
