I claim my DVR as writeoff come tax season. I feel that given what I do it really is justified. I could show them the plans I'm currently writing for a video training course available on demand for The Learning Center, or talk to them about how my business relies on new technology as it becomes significant. For anyone who's made the switch to tivo or DVR, you understand how radically it affects the way you watch tv. shows are always there. you watch exactly what you want when you want it, and can easily capture anything coming down the pipe. this is especially great for sports. I've been working on a site redesign at my other site, and as I finished up for bed the Lakers were looking pathetic during the first half of a home game against the Raptors. I fired it up again this morning (instead of going to work.. he he) and answered emails- watching to see if the team could turn it around. Kobe scored 27 points in the third and slowly the game stopped being about the Raptors versus the Lakers, but Kobe against the clock and against himself. according to the la times "In 15 games since Dec. 20, Bryant has hit 80 points once, 60 once, 50 twice, 40 four times and 30 five times. He's averaging 43.3 points over that span and shooting 46.6% and 37% on three-pointers. He's also got 4.0 assists, and tonight he had steals and boards, too. It really was amazing. In the end, he blew past the 72 point franchise record, then stepped to the line with 76 for three free throws that would put him ahead of wilt's second greatest score of 78. He sank all three for 79 points, then put in two more to top 80. finishing with 81. kobe scores 81
